I Can Be Your Hero, Baby: On Being a Nurse

Nurses as Heroes

"I can be your hero, baby. I can kiss away the pain..." - Enrique Iglesias crooning in the background singing his hit ballad "Hero".

I really love this song in addition to the fact that Enrique mi amour is my ultimate celeb crush. As I listened intently and internalizing the song, an idea popped in my mind...I thought of blogging about nurses...as "heroes".

REBLOGGED: First Nursing Experience

This is a reblogged of my first nursing experience as an RN in one of the most prestigious hospital here in Davao. Since I will be deleting my other personal blog, I will share my experiences what was it like being a neophyte nurse in a real hospital setting, being challenged along the way and meeting people from different walks of life.

REBLOGGED:

I don't know why I took up nursing when in fact I never liked it. Nursing was out of my mind when I was still in high school. It was my mom and dad who suggested for me to took this up because way back 2005, Nursing here in the Philippines was a booming course for the fact that many countries in abroad offered job openings in Nursing. Some of my batchmates in high school decided to enroll in this course and people who already have their career have taken up this course as their second course (for those who had finished another career other than nursing). Therefore, at that time, Nursing was a trend.
